Swallowtail School is now accepting applications for preschool through 8th grade. The following is a typical journey through the Swallowtail School admission process.
1. Initial contact with the school is often an email or phone call, followed by an information packet about Swallowtail.
2. We happily answer questions on the phone or through email, or arrange a conversation with a teacher, if requested.
3. Most families attend one or more of the following: an open house, a Morning in the Kindergarten, or a pre-arranged tour on a day when school is in session.
4. If you decide you would like to enroll your child in Swallowtail school, please fill out an Application Form and mail it to the school along with the application fee of $75.00 per student.
5. Once we have received the completed application, we will schedule an interview. The interview is designed to focus on Swallowtail in more detail, in order to help the family and the school decide if enrollment in the school is a good fit for both. The interview usually includes the parents, child or children, a school administrator and the class teacher(s).
6. Families are notified of the admission decision. If you decide to accept, you are asked to return the required paperwork and a $100.00 deposit to secure a place for each child. Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis and after they are full, successful applicants are put on our waiting list.

A $100 deposit is required to enroll. This deposit is deducted from the total tuition.
