OUR MISSION

We are a developing Waldorf school dedicated to a curriculum that speaks to a child's heart, intellect, and physical being. Our closely-knit community is located in a rural environment where we cultivate an attitude of reverence towards the natural world. We value imagination, resourcefulness, and simplicity. Through an artistic and experiential approach to education our children grow into socially responsible individuals who create culture, not simply consume it.

ABOUT SWALLOWTAIL

Swallowtail School is a non-profit institution that offers education to children in pre-school through grade 8. Currently located 20 miles west of Portland and a few minutes walk from the MAX line in Hillsboro, Swallowtail has been serving families in Washington County since 1995.
