Brittany grew up in Kansas and moved to Oregon in 2013, where she met her now husband.  Since moving to Oregon, she has developed a love for hiking and visiting the coast.  She also enjoys getting involved in the arts both on and off stage and enjoys watching live music and theatre. 

Brittany holds a bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Sterling College and is also a certified Educational Specialist (Ed.S) in School Psychology.  In public schools, Brittany has worked with school age kids aged 5-21 and teams of adults supporting students with special education needs.  Additionally, she worked as a music teacher for Music Together Resonate, where she worked with kids ages 0-5. 

After having her own child, she and her husband were looking for an alternative preschool option that prioritized movement, low tech, and outdoor time for their son and found the right fit in Swallowtail. They actually discovered Swallowtail on a family walk in their neighborhood in Hillsboro, where they discovered the farm.  Brittany is excited to join the administrative team and work closer to her home and her child.
