Jessica Parlanti

After completing her BA in Anthropology at Occidental College, Jessica Parlanti traveled and lived throughout Latin and South America. She completed her Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies, in Spanish, at the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, with an emphasis on the Afro-Diaspora and Indigenous Studies.

Jessica has over 20 years experience teaching Spanish in 1st through 10th grade, and has lived and taught in Ecuador, Bolivia, Honduras, Colombia and within the United States in California and Oregon. Jessica has long been interested in Waldorf Education and has worked closely with Waldorf Educators as mentors in the past. She loves the creativity and engagement she has seen in the students at Swallowtail and the kindness the students show to one another.
