Kristin Freund
Movement

Kristin grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois in a large bustling household where she and her siblings were always on the move dancing, biking, and engaging in imaginative play.  She began to make her journey out west as an undergraduate at the University of Colorado in Boulder where she studied Sociology, and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains.  She made her way to the Pacific Northwest to pursue a job in Wilderness Education and has never looked back.

Kristin has extensive experience working with youth who have experienced trauma and has used movement and play as a tool to help them heal. She is certified in a therapeutic yoga form, Street Yoga, designed to teach yoga outside of the studio. She holds a Master's Degree in Education Leadership and Policy from Portland State University, has taught in outdoor and higher education on Oregon's north coast, and is a certified mediator.  Kristin's strengths are teaching students analytical, collaborative and investigative skills through movement and play. She is the mother of three young children who share her love of nature.
